Landkreis Teschen was a German[1] administrative entity (Landkreis) in Silesia that existed from 1939 to 1945 during the Nazi German occupation of Poland and occupation of Czechoslovakia. It was until 1941 part of Regierungsbezirk Kattowitz in the Province of Silesia.[2] The administrative centre was the town of Teschen, before the Munich Agreement divided between Czechoslovakia (Český Těšín) and Poland (Cieszyn). After the former Prussian Province of Silesia was dissolved in 1941, Regierungsbezirk Kattowitz and Regierungsbezirk Oppeln became the Province of Upper Silesia.
